Needles, CA: 4th Annual 3 Pete’s Memorial Horseshoe Tournament and 39th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Carnival.

The 4th Annual 3 Pete’s Memorial Horseshoe Tournament and 39th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Carnival will all be held at the Needles Rodeo Grounds located on the 1001 San Clemente near Clary Drive in Needles, California.

The Carnival will be held from Thursday, April 2nd, 2015 to Saturday, April 4th, 2015 at the Needles Rodeo Grounds.

The 4th Annual 3 Pete’s Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2015 at the Needles Rodeo Grounds in memory of Pete Rodriguez III, Pete Rodriguez IV, and Pete Rodriguez V who lost their lives in an auto accident on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Needles, California.

Money raised during the event went to the 3 Pete’s Memorial Youth Fund.

Founded in 2011, the 3 Pete’s Memorial Youth Fund is a non-profit organization built in honor of 3 generations; Pete Rodriguez III, Pete Rodriguez IV, and Pete Rodriguez V and their mission is to raise funds for the purpose of donating to deserving individuals and entities that promote education, youth development, and moral growth in our community.

Their vision is to inspire a passion for learning and self-growth, giving the youth of our community the ability to make their dreams reality and touch the lives of many as the 3 Pete’s have.

The 39th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo will be held on Friday, April 3rd, 2015 and Saturday, April 4th, 2015 at the Needles Rodeo Grounds.

The 39th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo is presented by the Colorado River Medical Center and is sanctioned by the Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association (G.C.P.R.A.) and is coordinated by the Needles Rodeo Association.

– There will also be a parade at 10:00am PT on Saturday, April 4th, 2015 along West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California.

– Parade categories include equestrian, decorated vehicle, group and Rodeo Up Your Rig.

– Cash prizes will be given for best overall entry and for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

– Floats, horses, and vehicles are all welcome to participate in the parade and there is no entry fee.

– Vehicles that are not street legal must be transported by trailer to the staging area in the old Ford Dealership parking lot located on the 400 block of West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California.

**** Parade Closures: ****

– There will be some street closures for the parade on Saturday, April 4th, 2015 in Downtown Needles, California.

> Closures Include:

– West Broadway between D Street to I Street.

– Front Street between G Street to J Street.

– Front Street between A Street to D Street.

> Detours:

– Third Street between D Street to J Street is the best detour to get around the parade closures.

> From Mohave Valley, Arizona:

– Head south on Mohave Valley Highway onto Harbor Avenue until you go over the Colorado River Bridge into Needles, California where Harbor Avenue will become North K Street.

– On North K Street, head South on North K Street to Needles Highway and make a right turn onto Needles Highway going west.

– Take Needles Highway to West Broadway and make a left onto West Broadway.

– Head straight south on West Broadway going over the railroad tracks on bridge into Downtown Needles, California.

– Stay on West Broadway into Downtown Needles, California now heading east passing the Motel 66 neon sign where West Broadway turns into East Broadway and remain on East Broadway.

– Head south on East Broadway pass Interstate 40 to San Clemente Street just before the Needles Riverview Cemetery and make a right turn onto San Clemente Street and head west up the hill until you hit the Needles Rodeo Grounds on the lift side of the street.

> From Topock, Arizona:

– Get onto Interstate 40 heading westbound into Needles, California.

– Exit at East Broadway (Exit #144) and make a left turn onto East Broadway going under Interstate 40.

– Head south on East Broadway pass Interstate 40 to San Clemente Street just before the Needles Riverview Cemetery and make a right turn onto San Clemente Street and head west up the hill until you hit the Needles Rodeo Grounds on the lift side of the street.

> From Barstow, California, Goffs, California, and Amboy, California:

– Get onto Interstate 40 heading eastbound into Needles, California.

– Exit at East Broadway (Exit #144) and make a right turn onto East Broadway then another right turn onto San Clemente Street just before the Needles Riverview Cemetery.

– On San Clemente Street, head west up the hill until you hit the Needles Rodeo Grounds on the lift side of the street.

> From Blythe, California:

– Get onto U.S. 95 (Highway 95) heading northbound into Needles, California.

– Just before Interstate 40, make a left turn onto San Clemente Street just after the Needles Riverview Cemetery.

– On San Clemente Street, head west up the hill until you hit the Needles Rodeo Grounds on the lift side of the street.

> From Laughlin, Nevada:

– Head south on Needles Highway passing Interstate 40 into Needles, California.

– Remain on Needles Highway to West Broadway and make a right turn onto Needles Highway near the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church.

– Head straight south on West Broadway going over the railroad tracks on bridge into Downtown Needles, California.

– Stay on West Broadway into Downtown Needles, California now heading east passing the Motel 66 neon sign where West Broadway turns into East Broadway and remain on East Broadway.

– Head south on East Broadway pass Interstate 40 to San Clemente Street just before the Needles Riverview Cemetery and make a right turn onto San Clemente Street and head west up the hill until you hit the Needles Rodeo Grounds on the lift side of the street.
