Breaking News!!: Downtown Needles, CA: Burger Hut broken into again during Southwest Gas outage.

As ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez was covering Southwest Gas work crews working to restore the gas to Burger Hut, an employee at Burger Hut informs ZachNews that the woonden board put up on the outside window was removed overnight and put back up on the inside.

Burger Hut had to close all day due to a gas outage with Southwest Gas affecting Needles, California since Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, February 18th, 2014, a break in happened at the Burger Hut located at 701 West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California at around 3:00am PT Tuesday morning and a broken pipe used to break the window was lifted next to the broken window area.

The cash register was broken apart and on the ground next to all the broke glass from the window on the floor.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department came to the incident and took a report and to see the broken pipe, but nothing was checked out on the broken pipe for clues.

Burger Hut had a security system with ADT Security Services, but according to the ADT Security Services Worker, the motion detector did not set off the alert when the window was broken in.
