Breaking News!!: Downtown Needles, CA: 76 Gas Station break in, person positively identified, and taken into custody.

ZachNews was covering the break in at Burger Hut, located at 701 West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California, when another report of a break in at the 76 Gas Station located at the intersection of J Street and Third Street in Downtown Needles, California.

According to Doug at the 76 Gas Station, the person tried to enter into the 76 Gas Station first on the door facing the street late Monday night at around 10:25pm PT.


The man broke into the garage door then broke into the inside door of the store of the 76 Gas Station.

The man left the area, but left behind his walking cane at the break in scene.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was called earlier Tuesday morning and talked to the employees at the 76 Gas Station as well as to see the walking cane lifted behind at the scene of the break in.

Then at around 11:20am PT Tuesday, a woman walked into the store of the 76 Gas Station and positively identified the walking cane lifted behind in the break in and told Doug at the 76 Gas Station about the person.

Doug at the 76 Gas Station then was showed the surveillance video and the picture obtain by ZachNews and the woman again positively identified the man as 54 year old J.R. Robson of Needles, California.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were called again and minutes later arrived to taken a report, but as the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy was taking a report and talking to both the woman and employees at the 76 Gas Station, the woman positively identified the man who was seen outside across the street from the 76 Gas Station and walking to the Jack In The Box restaurant located at the intersection of J Street and Third Street in Downtown Needles, California.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy drove to the Jack In The Box restaurant, positively identified the man as 54 year old J.R. Robson of Needles, California, talked to the man, and the man was taken into custody in front of ZachNews.

As the man was being taken into custody, the woman talked with ZachNews and talked about the man taken into custody.

It is unclear at this moment if the person in this break in is involved in the break in at Burger Hut at around 3:00am PT Tuesday morning.

The video of the man being taken into custody as well as the woman who positively identified the person will be posted to ZachNews on YouTube.
