Needles, CA: Unanswered questions regarding Colorado River Distributors leaving several businesses and restaurants searching for answers.


In the last month, ZachNews has been working to get information regarding unanswered questions regarding Colorado River Distributors that is leaving several businesses and restaurants in Needles, California searching for answers.


There is reports from several businesses and restaurants in Needles, California that the Colorado River Distributors, located in 1200 East Broadway (United States Route 95) in Needles, California, was sold, no longer supplying CO2 gas tanks, and is in the process of closing down.


Cub’s Liquor Store, Burger Hut, Cook’s Cuisine, The Palm River Resort, and Munchy’s Mexican Restaurants are just a few of the businesses and restaurants having trouble getting CO2 gas tanks for their soda machine refilled or replace, getting supplies, and making contacting with anybody at Colorado River Distributors leaving some to find other ways to get their supplies or switching from Colorado River Distributors to another distributors.


Employees at Munchy’s Mexican Restaurants was the first to information ZachNews of this problem as they were having trouble getting their tanks for their soda fountains replace and repeated calls gotten nothing or a call back and repeated visits to the Colorado River Distributors found the place closed and locked up.

Munchy’s Mexican Restaurants had to find other options to get their CO2 gas tanks (CO2 gas is in soda fountain machines to carbonate soft drinks by pressurizing the CO2 gas into the liquid syrup) needed for the soda machine.

Employees at Munchy’s Mexican Restaurants tell ZachNews that they were visited in December 2013 by representatives from the Coca Cola Company and were informed that the Colorado River Distributors was sold in Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 and is in the process of closing down.


The Burger Hut is another place having the same problem and had to contact A and B Supply in Fort Mohave, Arizona to get their CO2 gas tanks replace and were also told that they have been getting calls from several businesses and restaurants in the area needing their CO2 gas tanks replace because they were told that Colorado River Distributors wasn’t doing that anymore and was closing.


On Sunday, February 16th, 2014, a deeply seated source has allegedly that Jim Lopez owns $30,000.00 to the City of Needles for a electric bill for Colorado River Distributors and that City of Needles crews allegedly to have arrived at the Colorado River Distributors demanding money.


According to information from many online sources, Jim Lopez is the owner of the Colorado River Distributors and that Colorado River Distributors offers Arrowhead water, Coca Cola products, Gatorade products, and Tropicana products.


ZachNews has repeatedly reached out to Colorado River Distributors since the beginning of January 2014 regarding the reports of the Colorado River Distributors being sold on Wednesday, January 1st, 2014, the reports that the Colorado River Distributors is in the process of closing down, and the allegedly reports that Jim Lopez owns $30,000.00 to the City of Needles for a electric bill for Colorado River Distributors.


ZachNews even tried to reach out to Jim Lopez, who is also a Needles City Council Member, about the reports of the Colorado River Distributors being sold on Wednesday, January 1st, 2014, the reports that the Colorado River Distributors is in the process of closing down, and the allegedly reports that Jim Lopez owns $30,000.00 to the City of Needles for a electric bill for Colorado River Distributors.


On Thursday, February 13th, 2014, ZachNews called again the Colorado River Distributors and a “Jim” (No last name given) picked up.

ZachNews identified themselves and informed “Jim” that ZachNews had some questions about the reports of the Colorado River Distributors being sold and closing.

This “Jim” said, “I have another caller on the other line; let me put you on hold,” and was put on hold for at least 5 minutes and that is when the phone hanged up.

ZachNews again recalled the Colorado River Distributors, but only got the answering machine.

All day long after that, only the answering machine was picking up.


ZachNews has repeatedly reached out to the Colorado River Distributors and to Jim Lopez for over a month, but ZachNews has gotten no response at all and a hanged up on by Jim Lopez.


ZachNews has also reached out to both the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Rancho Cucamonga, California and to Coca Cola Company Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia as regarding if they may have information regarding the sale and closing of the Colorado River Distributors in Needles, California and were told by phone that the matter in being looked into and will send a response by email regarding this matter.


So many questions and lots of time to respond and answer, still no clear answers for those businesses and restaurants in Needles, California.

Until the unanswered questions get answered, those businesses and restaurants in Needles, California will continue to raise and ask questions or change their plans or distributors.
