Breaking News!!: Needles, CA: Third medical marijuana dispensary raided.

A third medical marijuana dispensary located at the intersection of Needles Highway and K Street in Needles, California was raided at around 5:00pm PT Thursday.

This was the third raid Thursday that has happened with authorities, in dark green vests with the word, “Sheriff” and in plain clothes, entering into the medical marijuana dispensary.

Earlier Thursday, at least 2 other medical marijuana dispensaries were raided; at around 12:00pm PT at a medical marijuana dispensary at Third Street and F Street then later at around 2:00pm PT at a medical marijuana dispensary at H Street and Third, both in the Downtown Needles, California area and down the street from each other..

So far, nobody has been arrested or in handcuffs, but stuff were seen being removed; some in boxes.

A second medical marijuana dispensary located at the intersection of Third Street and H Street in Downtown Needles, California was raided at around 2:20pm PT Thursday

This was the second raid Thursday that has happened with authorities, in dark green vests with the word, “Sheriff” and in plain clothes, entering into the medical marijuana dispensary.

So far, nobody has been arrested or in handcuffs, but stuff were seen being removed; some in boxes.

Earlier Thursday, another medical marijuana dispensaries just 2 blocks away from this location were raided; at around 12:00pm PT at a medical marijuana dispensary at Third Street and F Street just across the street from the City of Needles Administration Building in Downtown Needles, California.

In that raid at Third Street and F Street, near by residents are telling ZachNews that authorities were entering the building guns drawn and later removing items from the building.

News Alert!!: Needles, CA: Another police pursuit.

Another police pursuit went through the streets of Needles, California at around 10:04am PT Wednesday morning.

Residents in the area of Cibola Street and Palm Way witnessed a white explorer being chased by either San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department vehicles or California highway Patrol, white colored vehicles, heading westbound on Cibola Street to D Street in Needles, California.

Last reports were that the police pursuit headed west on Interstate 40.

No further information available at this moment.

So far, this is the third police pursuit to speed through the Mojave Desert of San Bernardino County, California since last Saturday.

A police pursuit came into Needles, California from Lake Havasu City, Arizona at around 1:08am PT early Saturday, January 25th, 2014 ending in Fort Mohave, Arizona.

A police pursuit on Monday raced through Barstow, California along Highway 58 at around 5:00pm PT on Monday, January 27th, 2014 at speeds over 138 mph ending northeast of Highway 58 and Main Street along the railroad tracks.

Hesperia, CA: A truck fire on northbound Interstate 15 closes 2 lanes in the Cajon Pass Wednesday morning.
At around 4:22am PT on Wednesday, January 29th, 2014, fire department units were dispatched to a reported truck fire on the northbound Interstate 15 near Oak Hill Road in the Cajon Pass area in Hesperia, California.

On arrival, fire department units found a tractor trailer with the trailer 50% involved in fire hauling clothing material.

The driver of the truck was able to safely remove the trailer from the towing truck.

Fire department units were able to extinguish the fire with 3 type 1 engines, 1 water tender, 1 medic ambulance, 1 brush patrol and 1 BC.

The fire department units on scene were able to keep the fire from igniting the critically dry vegetation in the Cajon Pass area.

The heavily packed trailer slowed extinguishing efforts due to the volume of the clothing merchandise it contained.

Firefighters used cutting tools to assist in gaining access to parts of the trailer for extinguishment.

The fire is currently under investigation.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department would like to remind our residents to create a Defensible Space around your home. Defensible Space is an area that extends from the structure out to 100 feet or the property line.

Initial steps to creating this space begin with clearing all dead or drying vegetation from the ground, roofs, underneath decks and around propane tanks.

Cleaning out rain gutters and moving wood piles at least thirty feet from structures are also included in this space creation. Making sure that your address is visible from the street will also help firefighters in time of emergency.
