Downtown Needles, CA: Windy and Chilly Monday.
It’s a windy and chilly Monday as winds blow into Downtown Needles, California knocking over trash cans along Front Street near Santa Fe Park, blowing off Christmas decorations from the Memorial Tree at the intersection of West Broadway and G Street, and blowing down a Christmas tree that was on top of Burger Hut at the intersection of West Broadway and D Street.
The gusty winds even blew over ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez’s camera as he tried to catch the blowing papers from the knocked over trash can near the Needles Regional Museum on Front Street.
Light pole along West Broadway were seen being blowing around and traffic signals along West Broadway were seen swinging back and forth over the stree.
Some storefront windows like at old Needles Movie Theater along West Broadway were seen being shaking as the winds blew against them.
Earlier on Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory until Monday, December 9th, 2013 at 6:00pm PT.
Weather conditions fro the National Weather Service for Tuesday night around Needles, California is going to be Clear, Low around 30*F and blustery, with a north northwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 13 to 18 mph in the evening.
According to the National Weather Service, winds could gust as high as 36 mph.
