The message from Julie Chang says, “LA, thank you. If I hadn’t moved to Southern California, I wouldn’t have taken up surfing, which, in a way may have saved my life. During a CT scan, doctors discovered a tumor in the corner of my brain. In the next few days and weeks, the tumor will go, the hair will grow back… and I will recover with the warmth you have given me since my first day here on Fox 11. I have bottled up all the love from my ‘Good Day L.A.’ family to take with me into the operating room. So please know that I will be OK. I will update you through my ‘Good Day L.A’ family and via Twitter, so don’t be a stranger. I promise I will return stronger, and who knows… maybe smarter. Love and light, Julie.”
