– Ontario, CA: Motorcycle rider lost control and was ejected onto the highway.
At around 1:30am PT on Sunday, November 10th, 2013, the California Highway Patrol received 911 calls reporting a motorcycle rider down on the eastbound State Route 60 just east of Euclid Avenue in Ontario, California that had been struck by multiple vehicles.
A California Highway Patrol Officer arrived to find 61 year old Robert R. Ybarra of Ontario, California had been riding a 2002 Harley Davidson eastbound in the Carpool Lane when he lost control and was ejected onto the highway.
The male was pronounced dead at 1:44am PT.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
– Oro Grande, CA: A tractor trailer truck carrying a large forklift’s forks collided with a railroad bridge.
At around 10:13am PT on Monday, November 11th, 2013, a tractor trailer truck carrying a large forklift lost part of its load; the forks part from the forklift, when it collided with a railroad bridge on National Trails Highway and First Street in Oro Grande, California.
The forklift’s forks landed in the southbound lane of National Trails Highway after reportedly hitting the underside of the railroad bridge.
Traffic on National Trails Highway was blocked until the forklift’s forks was dragged to the shoulder area of National Trails Highway.
Nobody was injured in the crash and the railroad bridge did not sustain any significant damage from the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
