– Victorville, CA: A woman and 2 children were treated for smoke inhalation after an apartment fire.
A woman and 2 children were treated for smoke inhalation late Saturday morning after a fire broke out at a second story apartment building in Victorville, California.
At around 10:10am PT Sunday morning, San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the apartment fire located on the 14100 block of Rodeo Drive in Victorville, California.
Reports over the fire department scanner that there was multiple explosions during the apartment fire.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, they found a woman and 2 children outside the apartment suffering from smoke inhalation and were transported by ambulance in stable condition to a local hospital were they were treated.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family as well as a neighboring family from an adjoining unit which suffered smoke damage and loss of electricity.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the fire burned the upstairs portion of the apartment building and was able to save 3 additional apartment units in the apartment building.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the fire damage an estimated $80,000 to the apartment building and $15,000 to personal belongings.
The cause of the apartment fire is under investigation.
