** Traffic Alert!!: Needles, California Traffic: **

– Downtown Needles, California:

Due to the Needles Centennial Celebration at Santa Fe Park happening on Saturday, October, 5th, 2013, some streets around Santa Fe Park in Downtown Needles, California will be closed for the event start Saturday morning. G Street from Front Street to West Broadway, Front Street from F Street to G Street, and F Street from Front Street to West Broadway will be closed.

Due to the Needles Centennial Parade happening on Saturday, October 5th, 2013, streets in the Downtown Needles, California will be closed starting possibly an hour before the parade that starts at 1:00pm PT. Front Street from A Street to D Street and from F Street to G Street, D Street from Front Street to West Broadway, West Broadway from D Street to F Street and from G Street to J Street, F Street from West Broadway to Front Street, and G Street from Front Street to West Broadway. Possibly street closures on Front Street from H Street to J Street, I Street or J Street from West Broadway to Front Street if parade route changes. Both J Street and I Street may be both be closed if organizers want to close those those streets. Detours around the parade street closures are as follows: C Street and D Street from West Broadway to Third Street, Third Street from C Street and D Street to J Street, and J Street from Third Street to West Broadway. Please plan ahead as street closures are subject to change without notice by the organizers.

– Downtown Needles, California:

Due to the removal of a large tanker under Santa Fe Park, drivers should be on alert for addition street closures or traffic restrictions near the intersection of Front Street and G Street. This removal of this large tanker from under Santa Fe Park may happen between Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 to Thursday, June 27th, 2013. As of Thursday, October, 3rd, 2013, H Street at Front Street, Front Street from I Street to G Street, and G Street at Front Street remain closed.

– Near Needles, California:

According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) website, mill and overlay the existing asphalt is being done and is being done in and near Needles, California on Interstate 40 from Buzzard Wash to the California State Line. The construction project began on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 and estimate completion date is set for Monday, May 19th, 2014.
