– Morongo Valley, CA:

At around 9:59pm PT Sunday night, the California Highway Patrol responded to Twentynine Palms Highway and North Star Trail in Morongo Valley, California regarding a head-on collision.

Both drivers in the collision identified as 31 year old Niccole Holly of Palm Desert, California and a 23 year old Amelia Miller out of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, California were pronounced dead on scene.

There were no other occupants involved in this collision.

When the family is notified of the second driver’s demise, the name will be released.

California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.

– Barstow, CA: Woman suspected of baseball bat beat down is due in court Tuesday.

A woman is due in court Tuesday after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Authorizes alleged by the women have bludgeoned her elderly boyfriend with a baseball bat during an argument.

45 year old Carolyn McElroy is suspected of striking several times with a baseball bat 75 year old Fermin Aragon at around 4:16pm PT on Sunday afternoon at a home on the 400 block of South First Avenue in Barstow, California.

According to the Barstow Police Department, authorizes arrived on scene to the find the victim laying on a concrete walkway, bleeding profusely from the head and suffering from an obvious injury to the forearm.

Authorizes located the suspect at the scene in possession of the baseball bat.

Fermin Aragon was treated at the scene by paramedics and was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for additional treatment.

Fermin Aragon is reportedly in serious, but stable condition and expected to recover.

Carolyn McElroy was arrested and was booked into the Barstow Jail which she is currently in custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The incident is still under investigation.
