– Muscoy, CA: Person killed along Interstate 210.
At around 2:22am PT on Sunday, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 210 just east of the northbound Interstate 215 transition in Muscoy, California.
According to the Coroner’s Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and struck the guard rail at the I-210 and I-215 split. The vehicle rolled over several times as it continued down the freeway overpass embankment and landed on Little Mountain Drive.
23 year old Sergio Carlos Escalera of Muscoy, California died at the scene.
3 other occupants were transported to nearby hospitals after the vehicle landed on its roof during the crash trapping the occupants.
– Fontana, CA: A Fontana man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a train.
At around 5:15pm PT on Saturday, a person riding on a bicycle was struck by a train killing the person.
18 year old Carlos Morales Guzman of Fontana, California was riding his bicycle northbound along Beech Avenue just north of Ceres Avenue in Fontana, California and was crossing the railroad tracks when he was struck by a train traveling westbound on the railroad tracks.
First responders raced to the collision and paramedics treated the man.
Carlos Morales Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene at around 5:20pm PT by paramedics.
The collision is under investigation.
