Needles, CA: Needles Public Utility Authority and Needles City Council unanimously voted for a transformer.

Members of the Needles Public Utility Authority and Needles City Council unanimously voted to approve the acquisition from Mountain West Transformer of 1 each General Electric 69 KVA 10/12.5/14 MVA Transformer at a cost of $115,000.00 all-in delivered to be paid by the Electric Department’s Asset Replacement Fund during the Needles City Council Meeting held on Tuesday, May 28th, 2013.

The transformer will be drained of oil, filled with nitrogen, and shipped to Mountain West Transformer where it will be dried serviced, tested, painted, have 4 additional cooling fans added, filled with new oil, capped with a nitrogen blanket, and shipped to Needles, California.

Regarding the $115,000.00 all-in, delivered, this will be paid out of the Electric Department’s Asset Replacement Fund which fund carries a balance of $2,490,000.00.
