Colorado River Tri-State: Memorial Day ceremonies being held along the Colorado River Tri-State on Monday.
The community of will be coming together on Monday, May 27th, 2013 for a Memorial Day ceremony to give thanks and remember all the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
** In Needles, California: **
– Starting at 11:00am PT, a Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Needles Riverview Cemetery located at 1101 East Broadway (Route 95) near San Clemente Street and Interstate 40 in Needles, California.
Representatives of the military, police officers, and tribal officials as well as city and county officials will be speaking at the Memorial Day ceremony.
The Fort Mojave Indian Tribe are scheduled to speak at the Memorial Day ceremony and music will be provided by the Fort Mojave Indian Tribal Band.
** In Bullhead City, Arizona: **
– Starting at 1:00pm MST, the American Legion Post 87 in Bullhead City, Arizona will conduct its Memorial Day service near the USS Arizona Memorial behind the post.
The American Legion Post 87 is located at 2249 Clearwater Drive, Suite B, in Bullhead City, Arizona.
** In Laughlin, Nevada: **
– Starting at 10:00am PT, the Laughlin Richard Springston American Legion Post 60 and Auxiliary, and the Laughlin VFW Post 243 in Laughlin, Nevada will conduct services at the Laughlin Avenue of Flags, between the Don Laughlin’s Riverside Resort, Hotel, and Casino and the Laughlin Bridge.
** In Mohave Valley, Arizona: **
– Starting at 10:00am MST, the Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens in Mohave Valley, Arizona will conduct its annual Memorial Day observance.
Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens is located at 9250 South Ranchero Lane in Mohave Valley, Arizona
This theme for this year’s Memorial Day observance is “Women on the Home Front.”
There will be guest speakers from the Tri-State Military Moms and the names of solders who have fallen in the last year will be read during the Memorial Day observance.
