Needles, CA: Burglary suspect arrested in Needles, California.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on Friday, May 10th, 2013 at 2:30am PT, a person only identified as Summers reported his Rhino off road vehicle stolen from his residence near River Street and Road Road in Needles, California.
Later in the morning, Summers went out and began driving around when he noticed his Rhino being driven by a male subject.
Summers began following the Rhino off road vehicle and called the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the Rhino, later identified as 20 year old Andrew Gutierrez of Needles, California, attempted to flee, but wrecked in his attempt to get away.
When deputies arrived on scene, Andrew Gutierrez was taken into custody.
Further investigation, lead to Andrew Gutierrez being involved in approximately 4 other commercial and residential burglaries in the City of Needles.
Andrew Gutierrez was transported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station and was charged with PC 459 – Commercial Burglary, PC 496 – Possession of Stolen Property, VC 10851 – Grand Theft Auto, and PC 459 – Vehicle Burglary.
