A new sewer line is under construction next to the old El Garces building as part of the El Garces Project.
F Street and Front Street was closed to traffic on Tuesday in Downtown Needles, California as construction crews work on the new sewer line.
Back in early April, City of Needles Engineering Support Kathy Bernal told ZachNews on that the construction is to replace the old sewer, storm drain, and utilities lines and is part of the on going El Garces Project.
According to City of Needles Engineering Support Kathy Bernal, streets in the construction zone will be closed for 90 days starting Monday, April 8th, 2013.
Streets closed during the construction are Front Street between I Street to G Street, H Street at Front Street, and G Street at Front Street in Downtown Needles, California.
Westbound Front Street at F Street was closed for the construction leaving only eastbound Front Street between E Street and F Street remains open, until Tuesday when construction crews closed both directions of F Street near Front Street.
Drivers should plan ahead as construction continues in the area around Santa Fe Park.
