Needles, CA: A weekend of rodeo, fair, marketplace, and fun will be held in Needles, California.

The 37th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Fair is held on Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th, 2013 at the Needles Rodeo Ground located at 1001 San Clemente Street at Clary Drive in Needles, California.

This year’s rodeo event will have more venders and a new exhibit area at the Needles Rodeo Ground as well as your favorite rodeo riders that many throughout the Colorado River Tri-State come to enjoy.

** Event schedule as follows: (All Events Are On California Time): **

– On Friday, April 5th, 2013:

4:00pm PT: Gates to the Needles Rodeo Ground will open and the Rodeo Queens will be available for autographs at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

6:00pm PT: Rodeo Performance starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

Motorcycling Barrel Racing will begin immediately after the Rodeo Performance at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

8:30pm PT: Rodeo Dance featuring “Littletown” starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

– On Saturday, April 6th, 2013:

9:00am PT: Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade starts at the intersection of J Street and Bailey Avenue with the Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade ending at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

Gates to the Needles Rodeo Ground will open.

The Slacks Competition starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

9:30am to 11:45am PT: Sign ups for the Muttin Bustin and Calf Riding starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

12:00pm PT: Lil Wrangler Rodeo starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

1:00pm PT: Livestock Youth Showmanship Contest starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

2:00pm PT: Folklorico Dancers Performance starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

3:00pm PT: Dance Trax 51 Performance starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

4:00pm PT: Rodeo Queens will be available for autographs at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

Lil Cowpoke Contest starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

Bunkin’ Machine Contest starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

5:00pm PT: Rodeo Performance starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

Motorcycling Barrel Racing will begin immediately after the Rodeo Performance at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

7:30pm PT: Rodeo Dance featuring “Littletown” starts at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

** Event Tickets Prices: **

– According to the 37th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Fair flyer:

$10.00 for ages 13 years old and up.

$5.00 for ages between 6 years old to 11 years old.

Free for ages 5 years old and under.

Also this weekend, the first Saturday of the month kicks off the Santa Fe Park Marketplace being held on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at Santa Fe Park located on the 900 block of Front Street between F Street and G Street in Downtown Needles, California.

It will be a year since the Santa Fe Park Marketplace started bringing in local farm fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade soaps and candles,arts, and craft vendors into the community who have been demanding a farmer market style event for years.

– Directions for the 37th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Fair as well as the Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade:

The public can access the Needles Rodeo Ground by San Clemente Street from East Broadway and Highway 95 at the Interstate 40 junction. The entry onto San Clemente Street is right near the off ramp from the Eastbound Interstate 40.

If you’re coming from the west on Interstate 40, exit at the East Broadway and Highway 95 Exit and make a right turn onto Highway 95 and another right turn onto San Clemente Street. Take San Clemente Street west up the hill and the Needles Rodeo Ground will be on the left hand side of the street.

If you’re coming from the east on Interstate 40, exit at the East Broadway and Highway 95 Exit and well using caution crossing the busy highway, make a left turn onto Highway 95 and a right turn onto San Clemente Street after the Interstate 40 underpass. Take San Clemente Street west up the hill and the Needles Rodeo Ground will be on the left hand side of the street.

You can also access the Needles Rodeo Ground as well as the Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade being held on Saturday by using J Street from Interstate 40.

– Street closures for the Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade being held on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at 9:00am PT:

The Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade will start at the intersection of J Street and Bailey Avenue. Bailey Avenue between J Street to Lilly Hill Road, Lilly Hill Road between Bailey Avenue to Clary Drive, and Clary Drive between Lilly Hill Road to San Clemente Street will be closed or partly closed during the parade. The Colorado River Round Up Rodeo Parade will end at the Needles Rodeo Ground.

These street closures are subject to change without notice and streets may close or reopen earlier or later without notice. Please make sure to plan ahead before traveling onto these streets.

– Interstate 40 lane closures near the 37th Annual Colorado River Round Up Rodeo and Fair:

Due to Cal-Trans road work alone Interstate 40, there is a possibility of lane closures along Interstate 40 between Needles Highway and East Broadway in Needles, California.

These lane closures along Interstate 40 are subject to change without notice and lane closures may close or reopen earlier or later without notice. Please make sure to plan ahead before traveling onto Interstate 40 between Needles Highway and East Broadway.
