San Bernardino County, CA: To helping to alleviate homelessness in San Bernardino County, volunteers will have an opportunity to count and survey homeless individuals and families in San Bernardino County.
Volunteers must be 18 year old or order with an interest in helping to alleviate homelessness in San Bernardino County communities.
A minimum of 1,000 community volunteers are needed and information collected during the count is submitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for analysis to identify funding for needed services.
San Bernardino County is required to count and survey of homeless individuals and families is done every 2 years by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for their Point-In-Time Count.
The count and survey is planned to take place on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 between 6:00am to 10:00am PT and volunteers will be assigned to specific locations in San Bernardino County.
