Commercial burglary at a gas station in Needles.

Needles, CA: At approximately 3:14am PT on Monday, October 22, 2012, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to a Burglary Alarm activation at the Mobile Gas Station located at 1005 East Broadway near Interstate 40 in Needles, California.

 

 

Upon their arrival, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies discovered that the front door had been pried open and entry was made into the business.

 

 

The business was equipped with a sophisticated video monitoring system that captured the suspect committing the crime.

 

 

At approximately 5:55am PT, the suspect returned to the business and purchased a can of beer and the day shift clerk immediately recognized the suspect as the subject he saw in the video.

 

 

The clerk called 911 and reported to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department that the burglary suspect had returned and just left the location.

 

 

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Cross responded to the Bashas’ Grocery Store and located a subject that matched the description of the subject in the video.

 

 

The person was later identified as 31 year old Louis Alonzo of Gardena, California.

 

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Cross attempted to hand cuff Louis Alonzo and take him into custody.

 

 

Louis Alonzo assaulted San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Cross and attempted to flee on foot.

 

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Cross gave chase and deployed his Taser.

 

 

Louis Alonzo continued to resist, but was eventually taken into custody when assisting San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies arrived.
