Family fun during the Santa Fe Park Marketplace, Harvest Marketplace, and Pumpkin Race.

 

Downtown Needles, CA: On Saturday, October 13th, 2012, the community of Needles, California enjoyed the Santa Fe Park Marketplace and Harvest Marketplace held at Santa Fe Park put on by the Needles Downtown Business Alliance. Vendors selling an assortment of items from handmade clothing and soaps, to homemade pies and salsa.

 

 

The Needles Rotary Club held a swap meet in the Needles Chamber of Commerce Parking Lot (Large Dirt Parking Lot) next to the Santa Fe Park Marketplace and Harvest Marketplace event.

 

 

To add to all the fun and activities, a Pumpkin Race event was held next to the Needles Rotary Club Swap Meet.

 

 

G Street between Front Street and West Broadway was closed during the Pumpkin Races put together by the Needles Rotary Club and Rotary Club Member Jan Paget who is the wife of City of Needles Mayor Edward Paget.

 

 

Children and adults got to build their own pumpkin vehicle then roll their pumpkin vehicle down a ramp to the finish line.

 

 

Both children and adults loved the pumpkin races and plans are being in the works to have next year a watermelon race or a pumpkin toss event.

 

 

Those who attended the Santa Fe Park Marketplace, Harvest Marketplace, and Needles Rotary Club Swap Meet want to see these event grow bigger and continue to be held in Downtown Needles, California.
