National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ceremony held in Needles.

Needles, CA: The City of Needles hosted the National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ceremony was held on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 next to the Needles City Council Chambers in Needles, California.

Guest and dignitaries came out to Needles, California to celebrate this important day.

The National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ceremony is Taiwan’s Independence Day according to Ceremony Organizer Billy Yeh. Every year on October 10th, Taiwan celebrates their independence and recognizes the countries major achievements.

This year’s ceremony marks the 101st National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and festivities were held throughout the world.

National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Ceremony or 10-10 Day Celebration has been a local Needles, California tradition for 40 years and hopes to see this celebrate grow every year.

Members from the Needles City Council, Needles City Manager, and Mayor for the City of Needles both past and present joined members of the Republic of China Air Force Veterans Association of Los Angeles, California and members of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles, California at this year’s ceremony.

The ceremony included the raising of the national flag accompanied with the National Anthem, a proclamation dedication, and a tree planting ceremony bringing both beauty and togetherness to the community.

After the ceremony, guest and dignitaries were welcomed to a delicious lunch at Juicy’s Famous River Cafe in Needles, California then a short bus trip to Santa Fe Park in Downtown Needles, California were a group of local Needles, California venders set up their tents and sold an assortment of gifts from delicious honey from Mystic Maze Honey to homemade soaps, candles, and lotions from Granny’s Cottage.

After stopping at Santa Fe Park, guest and dignitaries were welcomed to Needles High School were students were selling Needles High School Mustang gear which many from the group purchased than put on the Mustang Pride gear as the group says good bye to Needles, California and thanking the people of Needles, California for welcoming their country and culture into their community.
