Needles, CA: Thursday morning, a group of thunderstorms with lightning and down pouring rain came over Needles, California causing roads to flood and be full with mud and rocks.
Areas along Needles Highway had debris in the roadway and near the intersection of Needles Highway and River Rat Drive, part of the shoulder gave away in flash flooding.
Balboa Avenue just south of the KTOX 1340AM Studios, a dirt road became a small river of muddy water.
The K Street Underpass along K Street near Front Street is closed due to flooding. A near by A To Z Collision Center located at 117 North K Street is trying to keep water from flowing into their business and pumps are being used to pump the water from the K Street Underpass.
In Downtown Needles, California, the intersection of West Broadway and J Street has mud and small rocks in and around the intersection.
Rain also fell on top of the Needles Movie Theater which the roof was lifted off and fell to a next door dirt parking lot during damaging winds and powerful storm that moved over Needles, California and Mohave Valley, Arizona in the afternoon of Tuesday, September 4th 2012.
City Crews for the City of Needles are working to clear the roads and to make sure that Needles, California is still open for business and fun.
Earlier, the thunderstorms that hit Needles, California caused hail to fall in Topock, Arizona making the streets outside look like it snowed.
The storm was seen moving north to Bullhead City, Arizona and Laughlin, Nevada.
More thunderstorms with lightning and down pouring rain may be on there way into Needles, California and the Colorado River Tri-State area.
