Mohave Valley, AZ: A small control burn in Mohave Valley, Arizona and just north east of Needles, California was seen along the Colorado River Friday morning.
The control burn was seen from Jack Smith Park in Needles, California where the Needles’ Route 66 Music, Brews, and Barbecue Championship is being held held on Friday October 5th, 2012 and Saturday, October 6th, 2012.
Calls to 911 were informed about the control burn and that Mohave Valley Fire Department was aware of the control burn.
San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to Jack Smith Park to check on the reports of a wildfire and left shortly after.

That wildfire was reportedly caused by dry lightning by many of people who saw dry lightning hitting the area of very large trees, heavy brush, and thick vegetation just southeast of Jack Smith Park along Santa Fe Road in Needles, California.
