Needles, CA: At 2:45pm PT on Monday, October 1st, 2012, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputies from the Colorado River Station investigated a report of a child molestation that occurred earlier in the day at the Needles Branch of the San Bernardino County Library located at 1111 Bailey Avenue in Needles, California.
The initial investigation yielded information that a white male adult, approximately 25 years old, sexually assaulted a 6 year old female at the library.
Through investigative means, deputies obtained information on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012, which positively identified the suspect as Caleb Brooks, a 25 year old male in Needles, California.
Caleb Brooks was located at his residence in Needles, California and was interviewed.
Caleb Brooks was later placed under arrest for P.C. 288(a), Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Minor under 14 years of age and booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station jail.
Caleb Brooks is being held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail and is awaiting further court proceedings.
The case is being reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office in Barstow, California.
