ZachNews has received by email the statement from Bank of America’s Media Relation Department regarding the closing of the Bank of America Branch in Downtown Needles, California:

“We constantly evaluate our retail network to ensure we are meeting evolving customer demand, and may add or consolidate banking centers as a result.

After careful consideration, we have decided to not renew the lease at our banking center located at 1001 W. Broadway Street in Needles when it expires at the end of February, 2013.   We typically give local customers 90 days notice regarding a banking center closure.

This decision is driven by a number of factors including declines in transactions as customers increasingly rely on other banking channels such as mobile and online banking.”
