Goffs, CA: A person standing on railroad tracks hit by a freight train 10 miles west of U.S. Route 95 near Goffs Road in Goffs, California Friday afternoon.
Just before 3:00pm PT, emergency dispatch received a call of a person being hit by a freight train traveling along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Line. San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the emergency call from Needles, California.
At one point, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad stopped all freight train traffic near the accident for a short moment. About 30 minutes later, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Line was reopened to all freight train traffic.
There is no further information at this time to why the person was on the track or to the person’s name, age, and gender.
