Needles, CA: Work crews from Tri-R Construction ripped down part of the roof of an old and burned down home on the 500 block of Palm Way near Downtown Needles, California last Wednesday.
The home caught on fire back on Monday, January 20th, 2012 and has been sitting gated and uninhabitable for months well trash and junk piled up along the street.
The City of Needles is trying to clean up those kinds of uninhabitable and burned down homes and buildings which many say they’re an eyesore to the community and bring crime and drugs into their community.
One eyesore that many really want to see taken down is the old and uninhabitable Overland Motel located on the 700 block of West Broadway in Downtown Needles, California.
The old and uninhabitable Overland Motel was close in August 2011 and has been sitting gated closed well collecting trash, junk and dust.
The City of Needles wants to see this property be use for affordable housing or student housing for Palo Verde College Needles Campus which is located across the street from the old and uninhabitable Overland Motel property. But as much as the City of Needles wants to see this property be put to good use, many want to see this eyesore knock down.
