Needles, California: A semi truck fire burst into flames along eastbound Interstate 40 just west of Needles Highway on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 sending big thick black smoke into the air.
The driver of the 18 wheeler big rig truck reports that the truck’s brakes caught on fire and rode his truck down the road until it stopped right near the Needles Highway.
San Bernardino County Fire Department was called to the sense of the 18 wheeler big rig truck fire and California Highway Patrol had to close the eastbound side of Interstate 40 until the rack was cleared.
The driver wasn’t injured in the 18 wheeler big rig truck fire and unknown to what was inside the 18 wheeler big rig truck.
