Needles, CA: The Women’s Club of Needles celebrates one hundred years of community service and community involvement during last Saturday’s Women’s Club of Needles 100th Centennial Celebration held at the Elks Lodge located in Needles California.
Many from throughout the Colorado River Tri-State area enjoyed a great evening of fun, great shopping, delicious food, and most importantly to celebrate this important day for this organization.
The Women’s Club of Needles has put on event such as bake sales, flower shows, boutique sales, and rummage sales; putting on the annual tea social event which invites local high school senior women to enjoy a cup of tea and learn important useful values that can help them as adults; and recently pass our lunch boxes to the homeless.
The Women’s Club of Needles held their 100th Centennial Celebration event also paid tribute to women who made history such as Rosie the Riveter, Edith Roosevelt, Julia Child, Marilyn Monroe.
City of Needles Mayor Edward Paget gave the Women’s Club of Needles a proclamation recognizing as well as celebrating the Women’s Club of Needles 100th Centennial.
Local vendors from the Colorado River Tri-State area sold items that women would enjoy and a giveaway was held handing out beautiful gift baskets.
It was a great night for women in Needles, California and around the Colorado River Tri-State area.
