Needles City Council Gets An Update on Operations at Colorado River Medical Center.

Needles, CA: At last Tuesday’s Needles City Council Meeting, the City Council got an update on operations at Colorado River Medical Center in Needles, California by Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg.

** Some of the key points made in the update on operations at Colorado River Medical Center: **

– We did meet payroll… several days early,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg.

– “On Thursday (March 15th, 2012) we received our cost report money from Medicare which we anticipated to come in; that amount was $624,000 and change,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg.

– “We Paid Some Bills,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg adding, “One for the City of Needles and here is another for the City of Needles. We paid, earlier this week, 98 different vendors; we paid them $290,000. All but a few are within 45 days of active so we’ll be accounts that we were in a rears which I heard about them the last time we were meeting, are no longer in a rears and are current right now.”

– “What our plan is with the remaining money; today (As of Tuesday, March 13th, 2012) we have, our reports today was we have $462,000 in the bank that’s after the checks we just sent out,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg adding, “On March 14th, we will be receiving another $40,000 from Medicare and on March 15th, $10,000 from Medicare. Please remember that Medicare is not our only payer.”

–  Because of budget problems with that State of California and reports of California being broke, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg said, “Medical has instituted a program were they will be paying all hospitals; we are not singling blessed; at least one week late on the current remittances,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg.

– We had at the hospital; really, a very terrific February. “In February, we had a very, very positive month. We treated 24 patients,” according to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg.

– According to Interim Chief Executive Officer of Colorado River Medical Center Jon Freeberg, the total billing of the patient’s stay there (At Colorado River Medical Center) was just over a half of million dollars.
